About - PROBITAS Authentication

Probitas Authentication, an Industry Program under the aegis of SAE Industry Technologies Consortia, a SAE International Affiliate organization. Probitas Authentication provides the service of authenticating Aerospace Quality Management System (AQMS) auditors against specific aerospace sector requirements. Probitas Authentication also provides the service of conducting the review and approval of AQMS training course content and AQMS training provider administration practices against aerospace sector requirements.

Probitas Authentication demonstrates conformance to the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG) certification scheme. For the Americas sector, the IAQG has established the Registration Management Committee (RMC) to manage the application and oversight of the AQMS certification scheme in the Americas. The RMC approves Auditor Authentication Body(s) (AABs) to authenticate AQMS auditors. In addition, the RMC approves and recognizes Training Provider Approval Body(s) (TPAB) to authenticate AQMS training courses and AQMS training provider administration practices. Probitas Authentication is a RMC recognized AAB and TPAB has been approved by the RMC to authenticate AQMS auditors, AQMS training courses, and AQMS training providers in accordance with the certification scheme requirements contained in AS9104/3 and AS9104/1.

  • AS9104/3: 2007 Requirements for Aerospace Auditor Competency and Training Courses. This Aerospace Standard provides the minimum requirements for AQMS auditors who will participate in AQMS certification/registration activities, including the auditor authentication process and requirements for a training organization. It is applicable to auditors seeking formal approval to conduct audits of the AQMS in support of the IAQG, and those who manage the competency element of an AQMS audit program and/or training organizations.

  • AS9104/1: 2012 Requirements for Aviation, Space, and Defense Quality Management System Certification Programs. This standard defines the basic requirements for managing the Aerospace Quality Management Systems (AQMS) certification scheme (commonly referred to as the 'ICOP scheme').

The business operating practices of Probitas Authentication conform to ISO/IEC 17024: 2012 Conformity assessment - General requirements for bodies operating certification of persons. This International Standard was developed with the objective of achieving and promoting a globally accepted benchmark for organizations operating certification of persons.
